Me & Coral As Babies

Hey friends, long time no see! Let's just for now, say life has been super explosive, and writing my blog has been pushed out of my mind for the majority of it. Saying that, I am writing this while cuddled on the sofa underneath one of Coral's fluffy pink blankets, about to hope into bed. Just before I head to the land of nod, I leave with you this photo above. I am absolutely overwhelmed with how identical me and my little girl are when we were both babies. Just look at us! We are twins for sure. I am so proud of my little fighter, she is my world.

When I am feeling a little less unwell in myself, I shall be getting back to my usual writing schedule of a post a day, on all things baby, beauty and life :)

Until then, I hope you all have had a fabulous weekend and I am sure to be back very soon. Believe me, I have ALOT to say, it just isn't quite the right time yet.

Thanks for sticking by me friends.

Dear Hannah Montana,

Evening friends, hope you have been enjoying the sunshine. A nice little surprise after a fair few months of sharp, cold, air!

Today's post is dedicated to a HUGE part of my childhood. A time in my life where I learnt to be who I wanted to be, with the much appreciated help of a very well known girl, called Hannah Montana. In 2006 the breakthrough Disney show, blew up on our TV screens and made it's way into the hearts of millions of young people. With the smiley beaming face of Miley Cyrus, and the hope that possibilities in life were endless, we were willingly sucked into the wonderful world of Hannah Montana. Now we are in 2016, and the love for our girl has never gone away. Even though Miley somewhat changed/grew up/ found herself, or whatever you wish to call it, Hannah still lives on in our hearts. This was, and always will be, my most treasured part of childhood. She was my rolemodel. She was my friend when I was alone and lacking confidence. Through her I found my voice. Hannah always knew how to smile through the rubbish and that is something which I carried through into my own life, learning from her as a child. I am very much looking forward to the day when I can watch Hannah Montana over with my daughter when she is a little older. I truly believe it is full of very valuable life lessons about hopes, dreams, friendships and family. These are all the most important things in life and I am determined to pass these onto my daughter, with a little help from our faveourite superstar. Thankyou Miley. Thankyou Hannah.

My Dream Cosy Night In

Hey friends!

Upon having a busy or stressful day it is always an absolute delight to get straight into your comfy pyjamas and fluffy socks as soon as you come through the door! I for one, am a huge fan of comfy clothes when you're at home, as I feel it is very important to be able to relax in your own little part of the world.

My favourite thing to do to relax at home, is get out of my tough jeans, rid my face of makeup and hop into a nice hot bubble bath. I found during pregnancy, Lavender Oil was the most beautifully relaxing scent in the world! I have a small bottle next to my bath and I put a few drops under the running hot tap when I want that little bit of extra relaxation. I bought this for £4.60 at Holland and Barrets and I highly recommend it if you enjoy baths :)

I also very much enjoy reading a good book. Although at the moment, I struggle greatly with concentration and I can't seem to read for more than half an hour at one time. This upsets me as I enjoy sinking into the world of a lovely novel, and when I can't concentrate on them this is very difficult to do. I often at the moment find myself picking my book up and not being able to read for more than a page which is sad. I find reading very calming and enjoyable. At the moment I am reading a book about the running of small businesses online. I also have PS I Love You on the go which is beautiful and heart wrenching at the same time. I hope that soon I am able to get into my books again. I have some nice books on my kindle app on my iPad mini which I really want to start reading again.

One of the most homely and comforting things that I can think of is having a lovely hot chocolate with marshmallows on top. I used to have these all of the time when I lived in Lincoln and they made me feel right at home again. I still have them to this day when I am feeling anxious or slightly low and they never fail to perk me back up again!

When the house seems a little too quiet, I love putting my iPod in my hello kitty docking station and blasting out my favourite albums. By having music on I can sing along and it somehow feels less lonely when I don't have any visitors! When I am on long car journeys (which I am not a fan of) I love to take my iPod with me and listen to my music. I find not only does it make the time pass quicker but it also helps to take my mind off the road. I get rather uncomfortable in cars because I don't feel very safe on roads. I only feel totally safe with a couple of drivers that I know, I am also not a fan of buses anymore. I don't mind the tram though and I often listen to my iPod on the tram on the way to town to meet my friends.

So with my cosy and floral pyjamas on, the lovely smell of lavender from my bubble bath, a delicious hot chocolate and marshmallows, the only thing left now is the need to have a nice scented candle lit! I personally cannot light the candle myself as I am too nervous around flames, however the still, calm flicker of a candle I find surprisingly relaxing. Usually I get someone else to do the lighting of the candle bit for me ;)

Above all else, the most cosy night in HAS to have my baby boy Alfred involved! He gives the best cuddles and I can sit with him all night. He has the sweetest little personality and is so gentle and loving. He makes the house a home well and truly. I love my Alfred :)

What do you do for a relaxing night in?

Would You Rather? | Beauty Tag

Questions
1.Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up or Nice hair and no make-up? Nice hair and no makeup because I don't mind my skin or the way my face looks without any make up at all BUT I may get some stick if I go out looking like a caveman who's just emerged from a bramble bush!

2.Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out? Well if I absolutely have to chose then I'd rather have my eyebrows lopped off. No point in walking round getting dust in your eyes. Practical choice! :)

3.Would you rather be forced to shop only MAC or Rimmel for the rest of your life? I have actually never ever had or used any MAC products, but Rimmel I have quite a bit of experience with. I love Rimmel's eye make up so I'd have to say I'd go with Rimmel. I also think price wise, I'm onto a winner!

4.Would you rather wear lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm?
Lipgloss and lip liner combo because I don't think I'd suit a perm very much...

5.Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush? Erm, foundation line because that is easily solvable once it is noticed. However, a strong blusher disaster would be difficult to hide!

6.Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?
Biker shorts, I love a good pair of tight shorts!

7.Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered? I haven't ever had a fake tan before, I don't generally like them but if I had to I would prefer to have funny looking tan lines. At least then I could say it's due to inexperience, where as looking like a double dipped Dorito, well, there really isn't a good enough excuse!

8.Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair colour?
Bad hair colour because I don't believe there is such a thing! I think everyone's hair colour is beautiful :)

9.Would you rather have youtube or twitter taken away forever?
Twitter by far. Goodbye! YouTube is my passion.

10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?
Mascara because I know you can do similar things with hot water as I used to do this before I tried actual mascara :)
